Overview
The highest ideals of humanity are examined as our protagonist, Dr. Robert Kelly, rises from self-pity and deprecation to experience how service to others can provide a quality of life he has never known. On his adventure, he will discover a mythical tribe devoted to protecting others, he will come to depend on a self-destructive Navy Veteran who finds redemption through sacrifice, and he will see where love can inspire even him, the most selfish of people, to act for the greater good.
Our story centers around a new mythology where an expedition in search of medical advancements discovers the existence of a lost civilization deep in the mountains of Papua New Guinea. Following deadly attacks at their on-site lab, the team turns to Dr. Robert Kelly, a part-time professor and struggling graphic novelist, for answers.
Robert is recruited by an old colleague, Dr. Maggie Grey. Maggie has been hired by big Pharma (Chronix) to excavate an underwater cave system in Langila to find the source of an extremely powerful antioxidant flower—The Aurora.
The leader of the expedition is Robert’s rival, archeologist Vic Masterson. Vic has enlisted the service of Blackwater, a private military outfit, to masquerade as the expedition's escort. One of his recruits is EX-UDT diver, Tyler Holt.
Vic promised Tyler the life he knew before his dishonorable discharge in exchange for getting him into the volcano's caldera where Vic believes a fortune in Spanish gold awaits.
The mission is to map the labyrinthine tunnels and access the heart of the volcano, where the dive team must harvest plant life thriving in the geothermal heat. However, the expedition faces grave dangers both above and below the surface. On land, they encounter hostile local tribes, while beneath the earth, the dive team contends with infectious creatures imprisoned in a long-forgotten city. What comes next...
...A battle centuries in the making, an ancient evil finally freed, and mother nature's power displayed in all its glory.
SETTING
Papua New Guinea remains one of the most unexplored regions on earth. Dense rainforest covers dangerous volcanoes, houses thousands of undocumented living species, and hides ancient tribes still undiscovered by the modern world.
Indigenous takes viewers on an exhilarating journey, from the icy waters of the Bering Strait to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea. Each new environment presents incredible visuals and unique dangers - crushing arctic storms, cannibalistic warriors, and a volcano that threatens to erupt at any moment.
Surrounding tribes converge on the compound to stop the westerners from releasing an ancient evil from inside the mountain.
Mt. Langila is an active volcano, with a network of water-filled lava tubes extending miles underground. These catacombs house a unique ecosystem of bioluminescent flora and fauna, and the remains of a mysterious civilization. But, as tremors from the Volcano grow in frequency and violence, it’s a race against time to reach the caldera before the volcano erupts.
The lost city of Langila has been sealed for centuries, but our heroes soon find that they are not alone.
The environment grows more and more spectacular as the team descends, following a network of bioluminescent vines that lead them to the caldera.
The Pintu
A The Pintu are a mythical tribe residing in the depths of Langila. They are dedicated to preventing the escape of infectious creatures from within the volcanic mountain.
Years ago, Robert developed a theory based on an obscure historical account: in 1526, Spanish explorers led by Yñigo Ortiz visited Langila. Ortiz's reports mentioned encountering a people he called the Pintado (Spanish for the painted ones), from whom he claimed to be "purchasing the Fountain of Youth." His letters described a massive stone city on Mt. Langila
The lost city of Langila has been sealed for centuries, but our heroes soon find that they are not alone. The old inhabitants of the city, exposed to massive doses of the Aurora microbe, have mutated into creatures called the Kirakan.
Extreme strength and speed, paired with hypersensitive senses, make the Kirakan a terrifying threat - especially when it becomes clear that the microbes in their salvia are contagious.

CHARACTERS
DR. ROBERT ELLIOT KELLY
Once a brilliant anthropologist with a promising future, Robert's career was derailed following a severe injury sustained during an expedition in Papua New Guinea. His groundbreaking research on the elusive Pintu tribe was dismissed for lack of evidence, and his colleagues ostracized him due to his seemingly outlandish claims. Shunned by the anthropological community, Robert retreated into a solitary existence, immersing himself in the study of obscure legends and mythical cultures.
Now a middle-aged aspiring graphic novelist and an adjunct professor at a rundown community college, Robert drowns his sorrows in cheap wine under the glow of an artist's lamp. When the Chronix team faces a terrifying threat, Robert may be their only hope for survival. His deep knowledge of ancient tribes and forgotten lore makes him an invaluable asset in confronting the mysterious horrors that lurk in Langilla.
TYLER HOLT
After being dishonorably discharged from the Navy for indirectly causing the deaths of three fellow SEALs and injuring twelve innocent people, Tyler Holt is forced to live a life of solitude and regret. Haunted by his past, he finds a home for his skills as an underwater demolition diver in the brutal business of oil exploration in the Bering Strait. That is, until he is offered a shot at redemption: blasting the Chronix team through the unstable catacombs of the Langilla cave system. If he completes the job, no questions asked, Vic will ensure that Chronix gives him a chance to reclaim the life he lost.
DR. MAGGIE GREY
She is a visionary biologist working as a private contractor for Chronix Pharmaceuticals. She and Robert were in a relationship during college and grad school, but their bond fractured when she refused to corroborate his findings on the mythical Pintu tribe, inadvertently damaging his reputation.
Maggie’s groundbreaking vision is the driving force behind the Chronix mission. However, as she delves deeper into the secrets of the elusive Aurora microbe, she unknowingly places her team in grave danger.
KATRINA CARROL GREY
Katrina has inherited her aunt’s intelligence and possesses a self-confidence honed by a lifetime of fieldwork in the most remote parts of the world. An avid adventure seeker, she is a talented climber and a master scuba diver. As the designated field biologist for the research expedition, she often clashes with Maggie, believing that Maggie's maternal instincts hinder her ability to perform her duties effectively.
